Diabetes & Endocrinology
Catholic Health treats all diabetes, endocrine and metabolic conditions at locations across Long Island.
One in 10 Americans live with diabetes, and about one in five do not even know they have it. Diabetes can lead to kidney disease, heart disease, skin problems, blindness and nerve damage, but it can be controlled with diet, medications, exercise and lifestyle changes.
Your primary care physician (PCP) will be your point of contact for recommended lifestyle changes and can refer you to specialists like diabetes educators, dieticians and endocrinologists.

Take our Diabetes Quiz
More than 1 in 3 Americans are prediabetic—the precursor to type 2 diabetes. While prediabetes can be reversed, type 1 and type 2 diabetes can only be managed with the right lifestyle choices.
So, how do you know if you’re at risk for diabetes? Take our short quiz to identify your risk level. Once you’ve taken the quiz you can schedule an appointment with a Catholic Health primary care physician (PCP).
